Editing a Class

Modified on Tue, 06 Feb 2024 at 10:50 AM

If you need to edit any details of a class, follow the below instructions.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Any changes that you make will take effect immediately. You can click on the class and 'View History' to track any changes that have been made.

1. Click on either the "Classes" tab OR the "Attendance" tab.

2. Find the class you wish to edit and click on the name of the class.

Example:

Classes screen view:

Attendance screen view:

3. On the class information screen click on 'Edit Class'.

4. From here you can edit the class details

5. Click the blue "Save/Update" button.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • If you change the price structure or fee calculation template of a class after you have done a billing run, the price change will not be represented on the families' financials until the next billing run. If you need it to be a current change, please contact Support.
  • You have the option to update the level of all students in the class to match the level of the class, but this will only update if the level of the class is changed as well.
  • If you edit the end date of the class but there are students enrolled in the class with an end date past the end date of the class, you will see an error message saying the class end date cannot be changed until the enrolments are modified.

Best Practice tip: To preserve the history of a class that has / has had enrolments in it (history in terms of things like lesson time and level), it is best practice to change the end date of the class and then create a new class from the start date of the change. History of teacher changes, class numbers etc can be seen if you click on "View history" in the top bar of the class information screen.
