How to Issue Certificates

Modified on Thu, 4 Jul at 10:16 AM

You have designed, uploaded and configured your certificates - now what? This article will show you how to issue certificates to your students.

Once you mark off a student's total skills for their current level (either by ticking all boxes or having all sliding scales at 100%), this will automatically move them over into the "Certificates & Levels" quick access box on the left hand side of your screen. You will see here the number of level progressions and the number of certificates to issue.

1. When you are ready to issue certificates, click on "View All Pending Progressions".

2. This screen will show the "Certificates to be Issued" and the "Level Progressions / Changes to be Actioned".

NOTE: If there are students you do not want to issue certificates to at this stage, click on the blue tick so that the check box is empty. Only those students with the blue tick will be processed. (Anyone you do not want to process will still be waiting in the "Certificates to be Issued" for the next time).

3. You can add any notes you wish or leave these blank (a "Notes" field must be enabled on your certificate layout for notes to be visible on a certificate). When you are ready, click on the "Start Certificate Generation" button.

The certificates have now been issued and are in the student's "Certificate's Issued" section on their student information page. You can click on "View" to see the certificate. Customers can also see view and share their certificates in the customer portal.

PLEASE NOTE: Issuing a certificate will send an email to the families informing them that their Student has received a certificate.

NOTE: If you click on "view" and the certificate is blank - this means you have not assigned a certificate to that level so one has not been issued. Contact support for assistance.

Ad-hoc Certificates

You can issue an "Ad-hoc" certificate directly from the student information screen.

You may want to issue an Encouragement Certificate or something similar. Or you may want to issue a certificate without a level progression.

Click on "Issue Ad-hoc Certificate". Select your certificate layout and teacher from the dropdown menus. Add any notes if desired (a "Notes" field must be enabled on your certificate layout for notes to be visible on a certificate). Then click on "Process Certificate Request".

The certificate has now been issued and is in the student's "Certificate's Issued" section on their student information page. You can click on "View" to see the certificate. Customers can also see view and share their certificates in the customer portal.

PLEASE NOTE: Issuing a certificate will send an email to the families informing them that their Student has received a certificate.
