What is a 'Registered Device' when viewing a Family record?

When viewing contact information for a Family you will now see a line indicating the number of 'Registered Devices' associated with the Family.  This number shows how many devices / phones / tablets the SimplyPortal app has been installed onto for the Family.   

We recommend using this as an indication that the Family may be able to receive Push Notifications.  The ability to receive Push Notifications is controlled by the user of the device (allowing / enabling notifications).  Unfortunately, this is not something that can be controlled / set/ forced from SimplySwim.

When communicating with Families about the SimplyPortal app, encourage them to enable/allow notifications on their device to ensure they can receive Push Notifications from your centre.

If you see a Family with 'No Registered Devices' encourage them to install the SimplyPortal app.  It is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

As long as the Families selected have the SimplyPortal app installed on at least one supported device and have notifications from the app enabled on their device, they will receive the Push Notification messages on their phone!
