Autopay

Simplify collection of fees for you and your families. Autopay can be configured for scheduled automatic payments - families can set up their agreement through the SimplyPortal app, and the Autopay batch can be created, run, checked, receipted, and closed completely automatically.

You need to have an account with Worldpay for Platforms (formerly Payrix) to enable Autopay. If you are already setup for Direct Debit and / or Realtime Payments through the SimplyPortal App (customer portal) then you only need to make a few adjustments to your configuration settings to enable Autopay.

Payments can be set up to be taken any day of the week and any recurring payment frequency can be chosen:

7 days (weekly)

14 days (fortnightly)

21 days (3 weeks)

28 days (4 weeks).


Autopay can be enabled from your Direct Debit Types. You can edit your existing Direct Debit Types and can create new types if you need any additional. **You must have a Worldpay account and your site configured for Direct Debit to create / edit direct debit types.** 


Please contact Support if you are unsure about this or cannot see this configuration option. 


Enabling Autopay

Go to Configuration -> Direct Debit Types.


Select the Direct Debit Type you wish to enable for Autopay by clicking on the yellow edit folder.


Click on 'Enable'.


Complete the configuration options:

Enable Automatic Processing: TICK this box.

First Scheduled Run Date: Select the date you wish the first Autopay payment to be run.

Run Every: Select the Autopay frequency.

First Run Start Date: The start date of the period for the first Autopay Run.

First Run End Date: The end date of the period for the first Autopay Run.

Then click "Save Direct Debit Schedule".


The below example is a Fortnightly Scheduled Autopay with a start date of 17/06/2025 for the period of 23/06/2025 to 06/07/2025.


Editing your Autopay Configuration

Click on the Direct Debit Type. The next run dates will be displayed at the bottom. If you need to make any changes, click "Edit".

FAQs


Will autopay payments be taken during our holidays / closure breaks?

Yes - but only for dates that you have invoiced.


Can we have Autopay set up for different days of the week?

Yes. You just need to set up a different Direct Debit Type and configure the Autopay for that specific day of the week. You may wish to offer families two days of the week or you could set one up for each week day. E.g. Monday Autopay, Thursday Autopay. Make sure that the day is in the name so families can sign up to the correct day.
