How to Add a Membership to a Student

Modified on Fri, 28 Apr 2023 at 02:51 PM

If you have not yet configured Memberships in your site, refer to this article: Membership set up guide

Adding a Membership to a student is a very simple process.

From their student screen:

1. Click on "Add Membership".

2. Select:

- the Membership Type from the dropdown menu

- the Start Date of the membership for this student (defaults to today's date but can be changed to suit).

Click "Next".

3. Check over the details on the confirmation screen and if correct, click "Confirm".

You will see on the Student's screen the status of the Membership. You can click on the magnifying glass or "View All" to view more details.

Back on the Family Screen, you can see the Membership on the student's section and a charge in the finance (if Memberships have been renewed).

Ending a Membership

1. To end a Membership you need to click on the magnifying glass next to the student's membership (from the student screen as shown above).

2. Click "End Membership".

3. Enter an end date and click "Next".

A note on end dates:

- if you want to end an incorrect membership before it has started, end it for the same date as the start date - in the example above, that would be 01.05.2023.

- if you want to end an existing membership, end it for the last date of the membership. EXAMPLE: a student is ending the Junior membership on 20.04.2023 and starting a Senior membership on 01.05.2023. These are the same dates you would end and start the memberships.

4. The next screen is to confirm.

Please check the "Confirm" section, as this will tell you the amount to be refunded. If this is incorrect, go back and check your dates.

If it is correct, then tick the box "are you sure" and "Confirm".
