When sending out Communication Groups, you want them make sure they are getting the information across and shows the entire message with all the attachments.

You can create a "Test" Communication Group with some admins or teachers and you can see what the message will look like before you send it to your Clients and make sure that everything is where you want it and how you want it.

To Create a "Test" Communication Group, you will firstly go and create the Group in the Configuration Tab in "Communication Groups"

Then go and Click "Add Communication Group"

Name it as "TEST" so you know what it is for and when you want to send the communication

Now you will add families (Admins/Teachers) into the group to receive the communication before sending it to the families. For this to work correctly the people you wish to add the group need to have a family set up with contact details. They do not need any active students and enrolments, They just need to be in the system.

Once you have selected all the families you want to receive the "TEST" communication. Click save down the very bottom. You can then go and double check the list to see who is in the group by clicking the "View Subscribed Families".

If you are happy with the list you will go to the administration tab and select Communication Campaigns. Go ahead and create a new campaign and select what features you want it to have (SMS or Email, Billing or Attendance Contact, Each Student or Family). Then select the "Save New Campaign" Option.

You will then go ahead and remove the preselected condition types and add a new condition of "Family in Communication Group". This will then allow you select what communication group you wish to send to and the hit the "Save Campaign Conditions" Button. You will then select what Template you want to send out to the group and hit the "Save Campaign Content" button. The Campaign is then ready to send to the test group and will help you to create content that is of quality for your customers.

By having a test group you can evaluate and re-assess what the Message Template has on it and what could change.
