Areas & Lanes

Area / Lane Descriptor

This allows you to change the name of your teaching areas as displayed on your Classes screen on the viewing tab within the application eg: Swim Schools could use 'Lane', while Music or Dances schools might use 'Studio'.  This label is displayed internally (for staff).  When changing this label, be sure to use the single version of the word (Lane, Studio, Area).

Individual Area names are customisable at Configuration -> Lane / Area Names. Leaving a customisation field blank will default to the name entered above. (Refer also to: Customising your Lane / Area Names). These names are displayed internally (for staff) and also externally for customers / clients through the SimplyPortal app and enrolment advice emails if you include the area name.

Total Number Of Lanes / Areas

Controls the number of teaching areas available for classes to be scheduled in.  Be sure to ensure a positive whole number in this field.  Changing this number will change the number of teaching areas displayed on your Class schedule.  If this value is already set and you need to add extra areas, simply increase the number to include the new total number of teaching areas needed.
