We recently contacted our clients advising of some upcoming changes to our SMS platform that may impact you. This e-mail provides further information on the changes to our SMS platform and how these changes may impact you.
Our upstream SMS provider advised us in early November that they are discontinuing their SMS service. This prompted us to search for a new SMS provider to ensure continued uninterrupted message delivery for you and all of our SimplySwim clients.
Changing providers required us to review all of the elements of our SMS offering including deliverability, return/reply options and per message pricing.
From Wednesday 6th December all SMS messages sent from SimplySwim will be sent from a non-reply sender of ‘SwimSchool’. If required, a dedicated text reply number can be purchased for your centre. Please speak with your SimplySwim account manager for additional information on dedicated numbers or to place an order.
Unfortunately, this change required us to also review your per message pricing. In most cases, we have had to increase SMS pricing.
A new per message billing rate will come into effective on Wednesday 6th December 2017. Your account manager will be in contact with you to discuss your new per message rate.
This is a decision we have not taken lightly, however, we believe the increased stability, performance and speed of our new SMS platform outweigh the pricing changes described above.
